When you place an order for a personalized piece, you will be sent a proof for approval before the piece is made.
No, wood is a natural product. Every piece has its own unique grain patterns, knots, and color variation.
This is not a defect but a beautiful feature of handmade timber products.
Will it arrive un-damaged?
We do everything in our power to make sure each piece protected properly before handing over to the shipper.
This includes bubble wrap, corner protectors, and foam or air pockets, when necessary.
When can I expect it to arrive?
Will the wood and grain be the same as in the pictures?
After order approval, the time it takes to make your custom piece is considered the processing time.
Processing times are typically 1-4 weeks for cutting boards, charcuterie boards, and decor items.
Shipping times are calculated separately from processing time; and typically, are 5-7 business days.
Furniture pieces are only available for local drop off at the moment.
What type of finish do we use for cutting & charcuterie boards?
Our cutting and charcuterie boards are finished with Mineral Oil.
This food-safe option is preferred because of its ability to prevent drying and cracking; even when the product requires regular washing.
Mineral Oil never truly cures, thus making re-application extremely easy.
What type of finish do we use for decor?
Tung Oil is our preferred finish for interior decor.
It really brings out the grain of the wood, dries to a fully cured state, and is all natural.
What type of finish do we use for furniture?
Lacquer is our preferred finish for tables, chairs, and most furniture.
It provides adequate protection and enhances the woods beauty without any yellowing or distorting.
In some cases, we opt for Polyurethane finish; typically for added durability where wear and tear is anticipated.
